  • Rick Whelan, CDM – President
    A widely-known industry expert, Rick has developed creative strategies for MGI clients for 30+ years. As company president, he is responsible for the organization’s overall direction and guidance. He is a past recipient of the DMAW Award for Distinguished Achievement recognizing his lifetime contributions to direct marketing. A frequent presenter and speaker, Rick has also authored numerous articles on association marketing.

  • Raylene Woods, CDM – Senior Vice President/COO
    Raylene has exceptional hands-on management experience gained over a span of 30 years in the marketing and communications fields. As chief operating officer she is responsible for internal operations of the company. An expert in visual communications, corporate identity development, branding, and meetings marketing, she has served in numerous top level managerial and supervisory capacities throughout her career.
  • Tony Rossell
  • Tony Rossell – Senior Vice President
    Tony is well known throughout the association community as a keen observer, original thinker, and strategy specialist. He has developed hundreds of membership marketing programs for dozens of organizations and oversees many of MGI’s largest and most complex programs. A prolific writer and articulate speaker, he authors a blog and frequently contributes to a variety of marketing publications. He has also served as a contributing author for two ASAE books on membership.

  • Erik Schonher – Vice President
    With years of experience as both a strategic planner and a seasoned tactician, Erik has extensive expertise in direct marketing, branding, social media, research, and product marketing management. He has held corporate leadership positions with Fortune 100 companies in the publishing and consumer product fields and oversees MGI’s highly regarded annual Membership Marketing Benchmarking Report. Erik regularly presents at industry meetings and conferences and is the author of numerous articles.
  • Tom Beauchamp
  • Tom Beauchamp – Vice President, Operations
    Tom is responsible for MGI’s robust information technology, data analytics, and data services. He has developed proprietary programs that track marketing campaign results through database matching. In addition, Tom has authored a number of client and project-specific merge/purge programs designed to optimize list value and specializes in managing custom ad hoc data analysis using recency, frequency, monetary and lifetime value data.

Harold Maurer, CDM, CeM – Managing Director, Account Services
Harold directs MGI’s extensive account management operations and staff. Skilled in both traditional direct response and advanced digital marketing techniques, he has served as a corporate executive, senior consultant, and agency executive during his long professional career. Harold is an accomplished planner, strategist, and teacher and uses his expertise in marketing, data analytics, and online technology to develop customized programs that deliver.

Scott Seril, CDM – Senior Account Director
Scott specializes in nonprofit fundraising and has more than 25 years of experience in direct marketing. He has managed multi-million dollar marketing programs for a number of national and international nonprofit organizations focused on humanitarian, environmental, and animal rights issues. With his background in donor and advocacy communications, he offers MGI clients valuable insight and information unique to the fundraising field.

Jason Gudenius, CDM, CeM – Senior Account Director
Jason focuses on the strategic management and execution of multi-channel new member acquisition and renewal programs. His ability to quickly assess opportunities and develop solid marketing programs based on those opportunities has enabled him to grow membership numbers for several prominent MGI clients. An articulate speaker and lecturer, he often provides sessions on the finer points of membership marketing, from basic to advanced topics.

Adina Wasserman, Ph.D. – Director of Market Research
Dr. Wasserman has 15 years of experience in research and market analysis and is trained in both quantitative and qualitative methodology. She has directed research projects for both national and international clients in a wide range of industries and has also performed work for governments and municipalities. At MGI she and her staff are responsible for the design, development, execution, and interpretation of all research operations.

Kimberly Humphries, CDM, CeM – Senior Production Director
An expert in print production and mail processing, Kimberly directs MGI’s day-to-day printing and mailing operations. She oversees a staff of diligent production managers who serve as coordinators between MGI’s account managers and the design and data services staffs. She is the primary liaison with the company’s suppliers and vendors, and directs all of the print, personalization, and lettershop operations.

Aleda Ahmed – Studio Director
Aleda has 30 years of experience in graphic design, visual arts, and computer illustration for both corporate and nonprofit organizations. As art director she pushes her design team to embrace innovation and expand their creative horizons. She has introduced new technologies, products, and procedures as platforms for artistic invention. Her team’s efforts have resulted in award-winning work that drives response and engagement.

Todd Michaels – Director, Emarketing
Todd is a highly skilled analyst of emerging technologies and their impacts on marketing techniques. A specialist in online lead generation, he has over 15 years’ experience in developing and evaluating acquisition metrics, program profitability, usage patterns, and measuring return on investment. Using site experience and design, plus creative testing, he evaluates how each contributes to bottom line performance.
