MGI Expands Editorial Services.

 ALEXANDRIA, VA – Marketing General Incorporated, now in its 35th year of guiding associations to membership and revenue growth, today announced the addition of an in-house editorial department to its suite of proprietary client services.

“Compelling copy is fundamental to the marketing we do and it’s a challenge to do it well,” MGI President Rick Whelan said today. “So we are investing the resources to offer stronger, more versatile editorial product with shorter turnarounds.”

Veteran marketer, cataloguer, and copywriter Bill Schaffner oversees the MGI Editorial Department. He brings more than 30 years communications and management experience to the job. He is joined by MGI Senior Account Director Page Stull whose background in journalism and direct marketing compliments Schaffner’s expertise. Editor and proofreader Diane Platt rounds out the department staff.

In addition to writing for MGI’s 16 account managers, the editorial team also performs project work for clients and non-clients, both large and small.

Editorial joins MGI’s eight established in-house departments including analytics, art and graphic design, data services, ebusiness, MGI Lists, production, research, and sponsorship strategies.
